This is a photograph of Jack's cat Freyja, who accompanied him from 1992 to 1996, before passing away from Feline Immunodeficiency Virus. Freyja spent time as a therapy animal for Jack after the passing of his wife, but struggled with her health as a young adult cat, ultimately leading to Jack holding her as she passed while driving her to the vet. It was the most heartbreaking moment of Jack's life, losing another connection to his wife. |
