Excerpt of Police Interview with Jack RiversOfficer: Mr. Rivers, can you tell us where you were on the night of October 14th, 1995? Jack: I was at home, watching the Packers game on TV. Officer: Can anyone corroborate that? Jack: No, I live alone, after Pauline's passing. Officer: So you were nowhere near the scene of Marnie's murder, correct? Jack: Of course not. I'm on the opposite side of town. It'd take me half an hour to get there, forty minutes if the lights are bad. Officer: And you're sure you were home that night? Jack: Yes, I was home. I remember because the Packers lost off a bullshit call. Look, is this gonna be much longer? I have a lot of work to do at the museum. Officer: Just a few more questions, Mr. Rivers. Then I'll let you go. You have my word. End of Transcript |
